February 23rd 2008 Well girls, it’s been 2 weeks and I am just now finally recovering from New York Fashion Week (see evidence right). The parties began with an intimate dinner for the lovely & talented Rihanna, which was hosted by Cosmopolitian magazine in the back room at one of my favorite The next night I headed out to Gucci’s UNICEF benefit with my favorite partner in crime Kate Schelter. The party was hosted by Madonna & Bono, and was attended by every celebrity star under the sun, from Tom & Katie to Ashton & Demi to Gwenyth Paltrow, Kate Hudson, Drew Barrymore, Gwen Stefani, and my personal favorite Chris Rock, who mentioned that this party came pretty close to beating out The Oscars as a star-studded event. Highlights of the evening included solo performances from Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, Alicia Keys, and my dinner date from the night before, Rihanna. At one point as we were rocking out to Timbaland on the dancefloor I looked across the room and saw Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes in a disturbingly faux make-out session, which solidified my view that Katie needs to be rescued by someone and put into the witness protection program ASAP. Where is Lynne Spears when you need her? Happy to hear that the UNICEF event that night raised over $2M for a very worthy cause, we all headed to The Beatrice Inn for some post-party dancing with many members of the same star-studded crowd. Needless to say, the rest of the week was spent recuperating, and my recovery process was much-aided this past weekend when I headed to And speaking of sunshine, our favorite shoe addict/expert website, www.TheShoeDish.com, featured our brand new Lemon Yellow Vivienne Sandal from the HOLLYWOULD Spring 2008 Collection (see right) with the fabulous caption below: Add a little touch of sunshine to your shoedrobe with these skittle yellow sunshine t-strap slingbacks from HOLLYWOULD. These are so tasty delicious that we almost want to eat them, but we’ll settle for just wearing them; we wouldn’t want the patent getting stuck between our teeth. White makes everything pop, but the banana-yellow of these flats don’t need any help from the white enamel chain link on the t-strap; they pop all on their own. We’re so excited for all the fun colored summer sandals that are coming our (your) way! Woohoo!!!! Can you feel the shoe love? TheShoeDish.com also featured a photo of Paula Abdul in our Gold Bay Sandals from last Spring (see right), with the hilarious caption below: Oh Paula, you have such pretty shoes and such horrible clothes. This is what happens when bad clothes happen to good shoes. You can’t have one or the other, right? Those poor shoes; they must be so embarrassed. How humiliating! We love The Shoe Dish! Am now in Our brand new CUSTOMER OF THE MONTH, Holly Flora, brings smarts and style to the classroom, looking fabulous in her favorite HOLLYWOULD wedges and sending us this note: Dear HOLLYWOULD, Holly, we think you're fabulous, and have hereby crowned you HOLLYWOULD CUSTOMER OF THE MONTH for February. This means Holly wins a $150 Gift Certificate to the HOLLYWOULD store! Congratulations Holly and Thank You for wearing HOLLYWOULD in style! February 4th 2008 How 'bout them Giants? Awww yeah. Fashion week has begun with a bang, so stay tuned.... |
